Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) (Shift Working)

A Vacancy at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to join the Estates department at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install services for buildings, grounds, engineering services, and associated equipment throughout the Trust.
• Work shifts, participate in the emergency on‑call rota, and take opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recognised mechanical or building services apprenticeship.
• BTEC HNC level, City & Guilds, or relevant post‑apprenticeship training, or equivalent experience.
• Current UK manual driving licence.

Salary: £32,073 – £39,043 per annum (Band 5) plus local RRP (£3,500 pa) and an approximate £1,000 on‑call retainer. Shift‑working enhancements are payable, estimated to add £5,000‑£6,000 per annum.
