As Senior Design Engineer, you will take ownership of complex design projects, working closely with manufacturing, production, and customers to deliver robust engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading design and development projects from initial concept through to production release
- Producing detailed 3D models, engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Managing BOMs, design reviews and engineering change requestsSupporting continuous improvement initiatives across existing product ranges
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, procurement and quality
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the design team
- Engaging directly with customers to understand requirements and provide technical solutions
- Ensuring designs meet relevant industry standards, quality requirements and cost targets
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related discipline
- Significant experience in a Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer position within a manufacturing environment
- Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo or Inventor
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining and assembly
- Experience leading projects and managing multiple design activities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
