Civil Engineering Placement / Internship – Delivery Team

Salary: £26,228 per annum

Contract: Full-time Internship / Placement Year

Locations: Glasgow

About The Role

Binnies are looking for Civil Engineering Placement Students to join our Delivery Team in Glasgow. You will support the planning, design, and delivery of a wide range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the United Kingdom, gaining hands‑on experience in project management, coordination, and technical delivery. This is a hands‑on placement where you will be treated as a valued member of the Delivery Team. You’ll receive structured training, mentoring, and ongoing support to develop your technical and professional skills while completing your degree. For high‑performing placement students, there is strong potential to progress into a graduate role within the Delivery Team upon successful completion of the placement and degree. The role is primarily office‑based, with opportunities for site visits, client meetings, and occasional travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Delivery Team with project coordination and technical tasks
  • Assisting with calculations, designs, and project documentation
  • Contributing to reports, drawings, and project deliverables
  • Supporting successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects

Essential Requirements

  • Current study towards a degree in Civil Engineering
  • Strong interest in project delivery and civil engineering solutions
  • Good numerical ability and confidence using spreadsheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
  • A proactive, self‑motivated approach and ability to work well in a team
  • Interest in sustainable and resilient infrastructure projects
