Lead at Scale. Build What Matters.

At Voyage Care, technology isn’t just infrastructure — it’s critical to delivering safe, effective care to thousands of people across the UK.

We’re looking for an IT Networking Team Leader to take ownership of a large, complex, multi-site network estate and lead a skilled team through an exciting period of investment, modernisation, and cloud growth.

If you’re a hands‑on technical leader who thrives on ownership, impact, and solving real‑world challenges, this is your opportunity to make a difference.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Enterprise‑scale impact – Support hundreds of UK‑wide services
  • Modern tech stack – Cisco Meraki, Azure, SD‑WAN, FortiGate
  • Transformation journey – Cloud maturity, automation, and security programmes underway
  • Autonomy to shape delivery – Influence strategy and execution within your domain
  • Meaningful work – Your network directly supports frontline care delivery

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead & Inspire

  • Manage and develop a high‑performing Network Operations team
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and collaboration

Own the Network Estate

  • Take full responsibility for a large‑scale Cisco Meraki environment (MX, MS, MR)
  • Drive performance, resilience, and scalability across all services
  • Lead network upgrades, deployments, and lifecycle management

Deliver Modern Connectivity

  • Shape and support hybrid cloud networking in Azure
  • Oversee WAN, LAN, VPN, SD‑WAN, and wireless environments
  • Ensure seamless connectivity across a geographically distributed estate

Drive Innovation & Automation

  • Introduce and expand automation (PowerShell / Python)
  • Reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency
  • Move towards infrastructure‑as‑code principles

Strengthen Security & Compliance

  • Work closely with security teams on Cyber Essentials Plus & ISO 27001
  • Oversee firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure access controls
  • Support audits, risk management, and incident response

Lead Key Projects

  • Own technical delivery of network projects including:
    • Site deployments
    • Connectivity transformations
    • Telephony rollouts (VoIP/SIP)
    • Platform enhancements

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong leadership experience managing technical teams
  • Proven background in enterprise networking (multi‑site environments)
  • Deep expertise in Cisco Meraki (essential)
  • Experience with Azure networking and hybrid environments
  • Solid knowledge of network security, SD‑WAN, VPNs, and routing/switching
  • Exposure to automation tools and scripting
  • Ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects end‑to‑end

Certifications such as CCNP, Meraki, or Azure Network Engineer are a bonus — but practical experience matters most.

What You’ll Get

  • Salary up to £65,000
  • Hybrid working (Lichfield‑based)
  • A genuinely supportive and forward‑thinking IT leadership team
  • The chance to lead during a major period of investment and transformation
  • Real career development in a business where IT is valued
