Overview

We are seeking dedicated and resilient teaching personnel to support learners who may display challenging behaviour and require strong, consistent adult guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support students within the classroom and/or specialist provision
• Manage and respond calmly to challenging behaviour
• Apply consistent boundaries while maintaining empathy and fairness
• Build positive relationships with learners who may have complex needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and behaviour leads

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience within the Prison Service, Secure Units, Youth Offending, Probation, or similar environments
• Confident working with individuals who display challenging behaviour
• Strong communication, teamwork, and conflict‑management skills
• Can remain calm, professional, and consistent under pressure
• Interested in making a positive impact through education
• Teaching qualifications desirable but not essential – training and support can be provided
