About the Team
We are a high‑profile team in the Product Modelling Team within Commercial Banking (CB) Finance, based in Bristol. CB Finance supports the CB businesses – Business & Commercial Banking and Corporate & Institutional Banking – offering customers a full suite of core banking products. The team is responsible for the overview of product performance, used for financial reporting, forecasting, and supporting the Group planning process. We work closely with product and coverage finance business partner teams, Group Finance, Group Corporate Treasury and the Finance Platform to provide effective insight and decision support.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver the financial reporting, performance and planning overview for specific products within CB
- Work with the Flash and Planning team to support delivery of the CB Flash and Forecast submissions into Group Finance
- Build relationships with FBP teams and finance centres of excellence to deliver well together, understand income drivers and gather relevant inputs for the performance and planning process
- Improve the efficiency of processes, while identifying and stopping redundant activity

What we’re looking for
- Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience)
- Credentials that demonstrate working in a time‑pressured and dynamic environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to develop a broad network across the organisation and collaborate to achieve goals
- A genuine drive to improve, and passion for making processes simpler and more efficient
- Experience of using PAX, and strong Excel skills (including model building)
- Understanding of the CB business and organisational structure
- Knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage
