Job Overview
Applications are invited for a Specialty Doctor post (SAS) in Radiology at Croydon University Hospital. The post will be for a period of 12 months (and will be converted to permanent if the post holder is suitable).
Responsibilities
- Support the general radiology workload within the department including ultrasound, CT and plain film reporting.
- Encourage to report MRI and pursue a subspecialty interest, with guidance available.
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs) and participate in in‑house teaching.
- Collaborate with consultants to handle diagnostic queries and support radiologists’ development.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in the NHS is mandatory.
- Suitable for application to the Certificate of Completion of Training (CESR) and research opportunities.
Working Hours & Pay
No on‑call commitment. Weekend work or extended day working may be required if time off during the week is needed. Full‑time posts are remunerated at 10 PAs. Part‑time posts are pro‑rata. Salary ranges from £59,175 to £95,400 per annum depending on years of post‑training radiology experience. Additional Outer London Weighting allowance is provided.
