Are you passionate about empowering adults with additional needs to live fulfilling, independent lives? We are recruiting full‑time Support Workers to join a high‑quality Supported Living service supporting adults aged 18–65 with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, sensory impairments and physical disabilities.
This is a varied, meaningful role where you’ll work closely with individuals in their home and community, helping them build confidence, develop skills and enjoy new experiences.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing person‑centred support in all areas of daily living
- Supporting with personal care, household tasks, cooking, cleaning and maintaining a safe home
- Encouraging independence through budgeting, life skills and community access
- Building positive relationships and supporting service users to pursue hobbies and interests
- Administering medication in line with policy and supporting health appointments
- Maintaining accurate support records and following support plans and risk assessments
- Promoting dignity, respect, choice and inclusion at all times
- Working collaboratively with families, colleagues and health professionals
- Participating in sleep‑in shifts and working across 1:1 and 2:1 support models
What we’re looking for
- A caring, patient and proactive approach
- Awareness of learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the service
- Full automatic /manual driving licence (essential)
- Ability to work 07:00–22:00 shifts plus sleep‑ins (22:00–07:00)
Experience in care is desirable but not essential — values, reliability and compassion are what matter most.
