Job Title
HR Assistant Apprentice – Resourcing Team, Human Resources, Organisation Development & Transformation (HROD&T) Service, Manchester City Council.
About The Role
Working hours: 35 hours per week. Contract type: Permanent. Working style: Hybrid. Interview method: In person.
Applicants must have an existing right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship not available. Right to work must be evidenced before employment commences. Two references required (3‑year history).
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering a high‑quality recruitment service for the organisation.
- Represent the service effectively by communicating with stakeholders and participating under supervision in a range of activities aligned to Council priorities.
- Update service information systems regularly to ensure information is accurate and relevant.
- Work as part of a team to support high‑quality service delivery.
- Respond to queries and correspondence politely, tactfully and diplomatically both written and verbal.
- Develop an understanding of Manchester principles and behaviours.
- Undertake and complete a relevant apprenticeship qualification and gain key work‑related skills.
Qualifications
Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Strong organisational skills for multitasking. Commitment to self‑development and customer service. Must live within the City of Manchester boundaries.
Previous further education experience encouraged. Applicants with a level 3 or above Business Administration qualification are ineligible. Prior qualifications conflicting with the apprenticeship framework may lead to withdrawal of offer.
