School Crossing Patrol — Part-Time Safety Role in Lancaster

Job Description

Salary £13.45 per hour | 7.5 hours per week | Permanent, Part-time | Bowerham Primary School | Bowerham Road, Lancaster

A School Crossing Patrol is required for Bowerham Road, Lancaster. The crossing is directly outside Bowerham Primary School. Hours are from 08:20 – 08:50 and 15:00 – 15:30 weekdays during term time, which is 38 weeks a year. Payment is £12.60 an hour for a minimum of 5 hours a week (varies at each crossing point) annualised. Uniform and training are provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety at the school crossing during specified hours.
• Ensure timely and orderly crossing of students and foot traffic.
• Report any incidents or issues to the School Crossing Patrol Area Organiser.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be eligible for the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
• Must apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure.
• Provide two suitable references.
• Available to work during the posted hours and term weeks.
