1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – EHCP Support

Location: Scarborough

Salary: £88 – £110 per day

Contract: Full Time

Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are looking for a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with an EHCP in a Scarborough-based school.

About the School

This inclusive school provides personalised support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring that learning and interventions are aligned with EHCP targets. Staff work collaboratively to support both academic and emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with an EHCP
• Support learning across the curriculum
• Implement targeted interventions
• Monitor progress and provide feedback
• Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff

Requirements

• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies
• Patient and proactive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection

This role requires successful applicants to satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
