Provision Lead – Electrical Installation

Hours: 37 hours per week.

Salary: £43,831 to £46,492 per annum for an exceptional candidate. This includes a 10% recruitment incentive

Location: Castleford College

An opportunity has arisen within the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group for a Provision Lead to join the Construction Department.

As a Provision Lead at Castleford College, you will teach in our brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art construction facility.

The Lagentium Building – named after the Roman fort in Castleford – features modern digital classrooms and an open practical workshop designed to mirror real construction environments.

You’ll have everything you need to deliver high‑quality teaching and learning, and help shape the next generation of skilled construction professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Deputy Head to provide leadership within a specific discipline for the development of up‑to‑date materials and resources to support curriculum development, teaching, and learning.
  • Assist the Deputy Head to improve the delivery within a particular discipline of the schemes of work and the assessment, recording and reporting of student achievement.
  • Assist the Deputy Head to monitor and address attendance, punctuality, and student disciplinary issues in a specific discipline.
  • Assist the Deputy Head to ensure appropriate attention is given to the promotion of equality and diversity in the curriculum in a particular discipline.
  • Monitor the curriculum within a particular discipline against key performance indicators – success, retention and achievement rates and targets; value added; attendance targets.
  • Assist the Deputy Head in coaching and mentoring of staff as appropriate.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of registers for a particular discipline and other student‑related documentation and returns.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A full level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational discipline is essential.
  • A Certificate in Education or PGCE.
  • Assessor Awards and IQA Awards (or willingness to work towards).
  • GCSE A*–C / 9–4 in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Experience of delivery across the vocational discipline; course leadership within the relevant vocational discipline.
  • Experience of establishing and maintaining effective relationships within the group.
