Manufacturing Strategy Director

We’re looking for a standout operational leader to take on one of the most high-impact manufacturing strategy briefs in the sector — shaping the future cost base, capability and performance of a complex, multi-site operation. If you’ve built credibility running a factory but thrive influencing at leadership level, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

• Redefine productivity across multiple sites through modern continuous improvement and strategic transformation
• Own and deliver a major capital improvement plan, aligned to long-term capability and cost optimisation
• Translate site-level successes into system-wide adoption — scaling what works, fast
• Shape asset strategy to future‑prove the network
• Influence and align senior operational leaders to embed new ways of working
• Lead a team of technical specialists to drive high-impact projects

Qualifications

• A strong engineering background, with real factory leadership experience
• A proven track record in transformation or manufacturing excellence
• Deep understanding of CI methodologies, capital delivery and asset strategy
• The ability to influence without authority — building followership through credibility and engagement
• High levels of emotional intelligence, adaptability and resilience
• You’re as comfortable in a plant as you are in the boardroom — and you know how to bridge the gap.
