Compensation

Shift Pattern

  • 3 days on / 3 days off

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Load and unload food and equipment as directed, ensuring high standards and no customer complaints.
  • Ensure all loads are secured safely and signed for at collection points.
  • Comply with all Gate Gourmet and customer security procedures.
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene requirements, including correct manual handling techniques.
  • Drive a van when required.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects using the appropriate procedures.
  • Take responsibility for company and customer property.
  • Report all accidents and take appropriate preventative action.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and non‑verbally, at all levels.
  • Maintain accurate records in the daily log and review it at the start of each shift.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable within the role.
  • Carry out quality checks and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Assist with follow‑up actions from Quality Assurance and Health & Safety reports.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Education

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).

Work Experience

  • A valid, clean UK driving licence is essential.
  • Good standard of written and spoken English.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong reading and writing skills in English.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Positive and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong team player.
  • Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to work shifts and eagerness to learn.

Additional Information

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC).

You must also provide five years of verifiable employment history.

If you have spent more than six months outside the UK, you will need to provide a criminal record check from the relevant country.
