15 hours per week (Monday to Friday 17:00-20:00)

Main duties of the job

Working alongside clinical teams and infection control, housekeeping teams ensure the cleanliness of the Trust’s estate in accordance with national standards and the Trust’s strategic cleaning plan.
You will be responsible for delivering a fully comprehensive and professional cleaning service, to meet NHS standard of cleanliness and other housekeeping duties in accordance with schedules and procedures. You will work within local community hospitals, other inpatient settings, health centres, clinics, and administration areas. You will also be required to relay information that may impact on other clinical or non‑clinical services. The role provides variety as no two days are the same.
In return, you will receive full support, training, and guidance to undertake a range of cleaning duties, including general cleaning tasks (bathrooms, kitchens, wards, clinics, theatres, office areas, etc.) as well as specialised cleaning processes to include machines. Some specific tasks will be tailored to the needs of a particular service and around patient care.

Person Specification
Experience
- Previous experience in the cleaning industry.
- Previous experience of cleaning in a clinical environment.
Additional Criteria

Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.
Qualifications
- NVQ1 in Housekeeping or equivalent level of experience.
- We understand that we will be asked to provide original certificates to verify our qualifications at point of offer.
