We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ink Technician with the potential to offer further career advancement within the laboratory to more senior technical roles—or a move to technical service position.

Role reports to: Technical Manager

Purpose of Job

Work as part of a laboratory‑based team on production and maintenance of existing inkjet products. Support product development, carry out evaluations of new raw materials and conduct a range of day‑to‑day tasks in the laboratory as required.

Skills Required

  • Technical skills and ability to resolve problems across the specific product or application area, including understanding of raw materials, ink chemistry, printing applications and technologies.
  • Awareness of relevant techniques, formulation approaches and printing processes.
  • Product/sampling testing: specific testing to defined standards or tolerances of samples, products, raw materials, and development of new test methods as required.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques, knowledge of SOPs, and ability to follow and develop SOPs.
  • Use of laboratory systems: input, maintain records/data, ensure accurate and timely data recording and regular maintenance of records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least three years’ experience working in an ink laboratory environment.
  • Resident in the UK and have recently worked in the print, packaging or paper sectors.
