Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Hospitality Senior Supervisor to join our team atLarkhill Garrison, Larkhill, SP4 8QT. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll support the Mess Manager in delivering high-quality catering, hospitality, and soft FM services, ensuring an excellent experience for all members and residents.

You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Mess, leading a team, maintaining high service standards, and driving continuous improvement across operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee and supervise daily Mess operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery

  • Lead, motivate and manage a team, including performance, training and development

  • Support the planning and delivery of functions, events, menus and catering services

  • Ensure all services meet contractual requirements, KPIs and service level agreements

  • Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the Mess committee

  • Support budget control, cost management and identify opportunities for business growth

  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and food safety compliance

  • Handle customer feedback, resolving issues and recognising excellent service

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence

  • Provide on-call support for absence or weekend cover where required

What you bring:

  • Experience in a supervisory or management role within catering, hospitality or soft FM

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Good understanding of health & safety and food safety standards

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team

  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach

Desirable

  • Experience working in a military or similar environment

  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent

  • Background in contract catering, hospitality, retail or cleaning services
