Are you a proactive and detail‑oriented finance professional looking to gain experience in a leading global consultancy? We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our UK+ Finance team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.

About The Role

As an Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will support the delivery of high‑quality financial insights and reporting across a range of projects. This role combines both management accounting and financial support, offering excellent exposure to project finance within a professional services environment.

You will work closely with Finance Business Partners, Project Directors and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and support decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly project and management accounts.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Help monitor project performance, including revenue, costs and provisions.
  • Collaborate with the Project Operations Team to support project delivery.
  • Contribute to financial reporting and monthly commentary for project leadership teams.
  • Support project approvals, closures, and governance processes.
  • Assist with journal postings, invoicing and month‑end activities.
  • Liaise with regional and group finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Produce ad hoc analysis, reports and presentations as required.

About You

  • Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with financial systems.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactive, collaborative and able to use initiative.
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role, ideally supporting management accounts and month‑end processes.

Desirable

  • Experience within professional services, engineering or construction sectors.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Agresso or Deltek Vantagepoint.
  • AAT qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
