About the Job
You will support manufacturing activities across tooling design, process development, assembly systems and production improvement initiatives. The role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle; from prototype builds through to production ramp-up, with opportunities to take ownership of projects and develop rapidly within the business.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and optimisation of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Assist in the design and implementation of tooling, fixtures and assembly aids
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process flows
- Collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency
- Support production builds, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
- Help develop production systems, layouts and manufacturing controls
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to support tooling and production readiness
- Contribute to lean manufacturing and industrialisation initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Understanding of manufacturing and assembly principles
- CAD experience (3DX strongly preferred)
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast‑paced engineering environment
- Interest in aerospace, advanced manufacturing or propulsion systems
Desirable
- Placement, internship or industry experience within manufacturing or engineering
- Exposure to tooling, assembly or production engineering environments
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods
- Experience creating technical documentation or process instructions
