Civil Engineer – Development Infrastructure (Buildings Sector) Contract – Hybrid/Remote

A leading international engineering and design consultancy is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join its growing Building Design team. The business delivers high profile infrastructure and building projects across the UK and overseas, offering employees the opportunity to work on complex and technically challenging developments within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

This role offers flexible working arrangements, including remote working and access to offices across the UK. It presents an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to further develop their technical capability across drainage, infrastructure, utilities, and external works design within the buildings sector.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of building and infrastructure projects, contributing to design work from concept through to construction. The role will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams while taking responsibility for producing high quality engineering designs and technical documentation.

Deliver civil engineering designs for small to medium sized infrastructure and building projects Design drainage systems, external works, utilities, roads, and car parks Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines Ensure compliance with quality assurance and technical procedures Work in line with BIM standards and digital engineering practices Support project delivery through practical and innovative engineering solutions

Minimum 5 years’ experience within Civil Engineering Strong drainage design experience Experience using InfoDrainage or Flow software Roads and car park design experience Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Experience working on building related projects rather than highways or large infrastructure schemes Strong communication and report writing skills Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or similar discipline Experience with utilities, earthworks, access roads, and construction logistics Revit/BIM 360 experience Ability to work with minimal supervision Full UK Driving Licence
