Senior Risk Manager

Our Client, a leading engineering and design consultancy, is seeking a SeniorRisk Managerto join their team in London or Cambridge.

As a Risk Manager, you will contribute to major infrastructure projects across sectors such as energy, transport, and national infrastructure – helping deliver positive, long-term impacts for communities.

Responsibilities for Senior Risk Manager:

• Deliver high-quality risk management services, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
• Apply structured risk management processes to reduce uncertainty across projects and programmes.
• Support the development and implementation of risk frameworks aligned with best practice.
• Facilitate risk workshops and engage with project teams.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis using industry tools.
• Produce clear, tailored risk reports to support decision-making.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of risk processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Assist with bids, proposals, and business development activities.

Experience Required for Senior Risk Manager:

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in risk management or a related field.
• Experience working on major infrastructure projects (e.g. transport, energy, infrastructure).
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks such as ISO 31000, IRM, or APM.
• Experience in risk workshops, risk reviews, and reporting.
• Familiarity with tools such as ARM, Xactium, Primavera Risk Analysis, SafranRisk, @Risk, or Risk Predict!.
• Understanding of value management and its application in projects.
• Knowledge of how risk integrates with project controls, including cost, planning, and contracts.
