Graduate Teaching Assistant – Aspiring Primary Teacher

Academics are working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Slough, seeking enthusiastic and committed Graduate Teaching Assistants to support classroom learning and gain valuable, hands‑on experience.
This is an ideal opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, offering full immersion in the school environment, mentorship from experienced staff, and a pathway towards teacher training.
About the Role
- Support class teachers across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning
- Gain invaluable experience ahead of a PGCE, School Direct or teacher training programme
About You
- A recent graduate (any subject considered, but core subjects highly desirable)
- A genuine passion for education and child development
- Live in Slough or within commutable distance
- Aspiring to train as a Primary Teacher in the future
- Confident, proactive and willing to learn
- Previous experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, volunteering, summer camps) is advantageous
Location: Slough
Salary: £89‑£95 per day
Start Date: ASAP / September
Contract: Full-time, Term‑Time Only
