Sheet Metal Worker

Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker for our client based out of Castle Donington.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and technical drawings.
• Utilise sheet metal techniques to cut, grind, weld, and shape materials as required.
• Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively to ensure precision in work output.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in metalworking
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery relevant to metal fabrication.
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work – City & Guilds Certification
• Advanced Certificate in Fabrication Studies or Level 3 Qualified in Welding & Fabrication

07:00 – 15:30 Monday – Thursday, 12:00 Friday.

Will move over to 2 rotating shifts below once passed probation.

• Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Monday to Thursday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
