The Role
You’ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery in a heavy engineering environment, working on large, complex components to exacting standards.
Key Duties
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure accuracy of machined parts
- Setting and operating large gantry-based CNC machines
- Retrieving and inputting CNC programs in line with job documentation
- Measuring and inspecting components using precision instruments (micrometres, verniers, etc.)
- Ensuring all work meets strict quality and specification standards
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a heavy machine shop environment
- Strong CNC setting and operating skills
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- High attention to detail and quality control
Shift Pattern
- 12‑hour shifts
- Rotating pattern: 4 on / 5 off / 5 on / 4 off
Pay & Benefits
- Umbrella Rate: £39.11 per hour
- Weekly Pay (40.5 hrs): £1,574.18
- Equivalent Annual Earnings: £81,857.23 (Days)
