Position: Maintenance Stores Person

Type: Part‑time / Seasonal – 2 days per week (flexible)

Pay Rates: Up to £12.71 per hour depending on age

Join our One Great Team here at Haven as a Maintenance Stores Person.

We are seeking an organised and self‑motivated individual to take ownership of the maintenance stores function. You will play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly by maintaining accurate stock control, improving organisation, and enabling efficient access to materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock levels and carry out regular stock checks.
  • Organise and label stores to ensure a clean, logical, and accessible layout.
  • Identify and report low stock, discrepancies, and ordering needs.
  • Prepare and pre‑pick materials for planned and reactive maintenance work.
  • Ensure critical spare parts are consistently available.
  • Implement simple systems for engineers to access parts when stores are unattended.
  • Keep stock records up to date and communicate clearly with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant stores environment, including COSHH requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in stores, warehouse, or maintenance environments.
  • Understanding of maintenance parts and consumables.
  • Experience in fast‑paced or seasonal operations.
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload.
  • Basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, or stock systems).
