A vacancy at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for a senior clinical nursing role in the Dermatology team at West Middlesex Hospital, with cross‑site work in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Responsibilities
Provide senior clinical nursing leadership and professional development for the nursing and health care assistant workforce. Deliver teaching, education and training for all staff. Perform independent assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, prescribing and minor skin surgery in a Dermatology setting, escalating cases outside agreed complexity parameters to a named dermatology surgical supervisor.
- Perform punch biopsies, curettage and electrocautery, shave biopsy/excision, ellipse excision/epidermal cyst, and suturing.
- Participate in main nursing activities: phototherapy, daycare, iontophoresis, photodynamic therapy (PDT), patch testing, and wound care.
Qualifications
Interest and ability to perform surgical skills independently under the supervision of a dermatology surgical supervisor. Experience in clinical nursing and dermatology preferred.
