Highways Operative – Eastbourne

We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Highways Operatives to join our growing team working on highways and infrastructure projects across Eastbourne and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic who are looking to build a long-term career within the highways and civil engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general highways maintenance and groundwork duties
• Assist with road repairs, drainage, kerbing, paving, and reinstatement works
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Set up and maintain traffic management where required
• Follow all health & safety procedures on site
• Work as part of a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
• Support supervisors and site management with daily tasks

Requirements

• Previous experience in highways, civils, groundwork, or construction preferred
• Valid CSCS card essential
• Streetworks / NRSWA ticket advantageous
• CPCS or NPORS plant tickets beneficial
• Good attitude and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Full UK driving licence preferred
