Cleaner (Part-time, 15 hrs per week)

Location: Northampton

At Lindsay House, a 17‑bed supported living service registered under CQC, we are looking for a cleaner to maintain a safe, welcoming and well‑maintained environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out high‑quality cleaning across all areas: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and washing up.
  • Clean internal windows and glass, empty bins and complete monthly deep‑cleaning and disinfection.
  • Restock essential supplies (hand wash, toilet paper, cleaning materials) and wash reusable cloths and rags.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment, keep accurate records and support with ordering new stock when required.
  • Follow the cleaning rota and work with the Service Manager to keep a practical timetable.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks such as adjusting toilet seats or unclogging sinks.
  • Work safely and professionally, following COSHH and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
  • Report any pest issues immediately to a supervisor or senior staff member.
  • Work independently, stay organised and adapt to changing tasks when needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and build positive working relationships with the wider team.

Qualifications

  • Previous cleaning experience, ideally in an office setting, with a good understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to prioritise high‑risk areas and coordinate tasks accordingly.
  • Initiative and self‑management skills.
  • Adherence to agreed plans and schedules.
  • Strong time‑management, organisational and communication skills.
