Java Developer

Senior Java Developer – TDD – Paying up to £600 Inside IR35 – Hybrid (London) – 6 month contract

We’re partnering with a large, internationally recognised digital platform business that delivers content and services to millions of users daily. They’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team building scalable, customer-facing products used at massive scale.

The Role

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Java
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy across key platforms
• Work closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams in an agile environment
• Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability across services
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices

Tech Stack

• Java (Java 11+/17 preferred)
• TDD
• Spring Boot/Microservices architecture
• RESTful APIs
• AWS/Cloud-based infrastructure
• Docker & Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar)

Requirements

• Strong experience building backend systems in Java
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Strong knowledge of API design and system scalability
• Comfortable working in agile, collaborative teams
