Responsibilities

• Assist in the provision of care to patients, supporting and being supervised by a registered nurse.
• Assist patients with all activities of daily living.
• Assist qualified staff by undertaking personal care duties for patients.
• Report patients’ condition to qualified staff.
• Perform a full range of manual and clerical duties.
• Maintain the orderliness, hygiene, and safety of the ward/departmental environment.
• Assist with patient care needs under the supervision of a trained nurse.
• Carry out nursing duties as assigned by trained staff.
• Work with the nursing staff to deliver individualized nursing care.
• Assist with patients’ dietary needs as directed by a trained nurse.
• Participate in the admission and discharge of patients in conjunction with the multi‑professional team as directed by a trained nurse.
• Escort patients to other areas of the hospital.
