Children’s Social Workers – Family Help Service
Salary: Up to £52,767 per annum (subject to experience). Additional benefits include a £5,000 welcome bonus, £1,000 retention bonus every two years for permanent staff, payment of Social Work England registration fee, and other benefits. Permanent, full time (36 hours) based in Wandsworth, London.

About the Role
In our newly formed Family Help Service, you will walk alongside families through their most difficult moments and help them find strength, hope and solutions.
You will work in a modern, collaborative environment with a stable, friendly team and strong, visible leadership. Supervision is regular, caseloads manageable, and time with children and families protected.
Key responsibilities include:
- Consult with children and families to create person‑centred plans under the system of Child in Need, Child Protection or care proceedings.
- Collaborate with a multi‑agency team including children’s practitioners, adult mental health practitioners, substance misuse and domestic abuse specialists, in‑house family therapy and social care CAMHS teams.
- Provide direct support, advice and assistance to families, helping them build resilience and thrive.
- Participate in service development, working groups and innovative projects.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, successful completion of ASYE.
- Experience across voluntary and statutory settings.
- Strong collaboration, communication, compassion, creativity and clarity.
- Commitment to children’s rights and potential, championing family well‑being.
