Industrial – Caretaker

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Industrial – Caretaker in Bartley Green.

Working pattern: Mon – Fri, start time 7am.

Location: Bartley Green.

Pay rate: £13.45.

Requirements: Must have adult barred enhanced DBS only. Must have a driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Do general caretaking duties in an adult day care centre for citizens with physical and learning disabilities.
• Check, monitor and record daily, weekly and monthly building contents to maintain a safe environment for citizens and staff.
• Keep accurate records, deal with contractors, report any faults to appropriate people, and maintain general upkeep inside and outside the building.
• Provide driving cover where required to support citizens into the centre during absences and sickness.

What You’ll Need

• Driving licence: A full driving licence is essential as you will be driving vans and larger vehicles.
• Practical skills: Ability to undertake minor maintenance and cleaning tasks both indoors and outdoors.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for recording data, reporting issues and engaging with the public.
• Leadership: Ability to supervise staff and contractors effectively.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM as service needs dictate.
