Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25.
For all hours worked between midnight and 6am you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour worked. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but can accommodate fewer hours to a minimum of 12.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and will give you three weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. Responsibilities
- Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; give great natural service.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within my store.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
- Apply the training you have received so we all work safely, effectively, and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet their needs at the right time.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
- Be knowledgeable about your store’s performance, understand your role and what we need together to drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and always follow our policies.
- At times you may be required to accept deliveries into the store.
