We are now recruiting for an Assistant Manager at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole’s Gild Restaurant and Bar. The Gild Restaurant and Bar is at the heart of the hotel and welcomes guests 24 hours a day. Experience in a busy bar or nightclub with Supervisor or Assistant Manager responsibilities would be ideal for a role in this 24 hour lounge bar. A great team leader with a passion for creating a great Guest Experience would be ideal for this position.

What will I be doing?

Help manage Restaurant and Bar operationsMaintain exceptional levels of customer serviceRecruit, manage, train and develop the Restaurant and Bar teamsManage guest queries in a timely and efficient mannerWork within budgeted guidelines in relation to Food and PayrollDrive sales to maximize budgeted revenueDevelop menus with other members of Food and Beverage teamAccountable for monthly stock takesIncentivise team members to maximize sales and revenueSet departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and proceduresEvaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvementEnsure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generatedBe environmentally awareAssist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationshipsComply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
