DevOps Engineer

A leading financial markets technology firm is looking to hire a Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join a specialist infrastructure team responsible for supporting and evolving the platforms that power a live trading environment.

This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, automation, and production engineering.

You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to build scalable, resilient systems across both cloud and on-prem environments while improving automation, deployment workflows, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage cloud infrastructure across multi-account AWS and GCP environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Develop automation across cloud and on-prem environments using tools such as Python, Bash and Ansible
• Work closely with engineering teams to productionise new systems, tools and technologies
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, build systems and deployment workflows
• Assist Linux engineering teams with system deployment, configuration management and operational improvements
• Contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions with a focus on reliability, scalability and automation
• Ensure environments across development, testing and production remain stable and scalable

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and operating hybrid cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP)
• Advanced DevOps experience including CI/CD pipelines, automation and monitoring
• Strong Linux administration experience (RedHat/CentOS or similar)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Python, Bash and Ansible
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing and firewalls
• Experience working with Git-based workflows and deployment tooling
