About the role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep of our premises at London College of Beauty Therapy. In this hands‑on role, you will carry out a range of general maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains safe, clean, and fully operational. This is a varied position suited to someone with a practical mindset, good attention to detail, and a flexible approach to supporting different areas of building maintenance as required.

Qualifications

No formal qualifications are required; however, previous relevant experience in a maintenance or facilities role is essential. A relevant trade background and/or health & safety certifications (e.g. CSCS card, manual handling training) are advantageous.

Experience

Previous experience in a general maintenance, caretaking, or similar practical role is essential. Experience working in a customer‑facing or busy operational environment is beneficial.

Expertise

Basic understanding of health and safety practices within a maintenance or facilities environment. Awareness of safe manual handling and general site maintenance practices.

Skills

Practical, hands‑on ability with strong time management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and carry out manual tasks, including lifting and moving equipment. Good communication skills with a courteous and professional manner are essential.

Salary
