Service Technician

Overview

We here at Siamo Recruitment are working with one of Europe’s leading engineering and manufacturing firms, paving the way for their market. Due to continued success and stable growth, our client is recruiting for a Junior Service Technician looking to advance within their career.

As the Service Technician it is essential the candidate has exposure of a minimum 1 year within a lekieminded role.

You will bond and develop with a growing team reporting to management and ensure that production is set-up to meet customer requirements in respect to quality, quantity and delivery of product for each shift.

Hours & Salary

Night shifts: Sunday 20:50–06:00 and Monday–Thursday 22:30–06:00.

Salary: £33,000 – £35,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote support and maintain a safe working environment, in conjunction with 5S standards.
• Lead the Production Team through effective planning, organisation and support, to achieve required output with allocated resources to the required quality standards.
• Ensure routine activities such as TPM and quality checks are carried out.
• Support and encourage improvement activities.
• Train production operators to required standards.
• Operate in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
• Provide first line technical response and problem resolution, working with the Support Functions where necessary.
• Support the Team Leader in adherence to process.
• Support Team Member’s well‑being.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures and guidelines including code of conduct, health and safety, environment, quality, discipline, grievance and equal opportunities.

Requirements

• Good awareness of Health & Safety.
• Experience working in a high‑volume automotive environment and working well under pressure.
• Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Leadership skills.
• High volume assembly experience in JIT environment, preferably automotive.
• Practical engineering skills.
