Accounts Payable Clerk

Salary: £26k – 28k per hour + Hybrid working 3 days office

We are delighted to be supporting a well know Wirral based client with the recruitment of a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable Clerk to join a busy finance team on a 6-9 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills and a proactive approach to contribute to a well-established and fast-paced business.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching, batching, and coding invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing and processing payment runs
• Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirements

About You

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance role
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Excel
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
