About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B Prison located in London. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
Hours
7:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday with 1 hour break (9hr shift)
8:30 – 17:30 Weekends + bank holidays, 1 hour break (8hr Shift)
Flexible shift patterns from 1 to 4 days a week
Expected to work unsociable hours including some weekends, evenings and night shifts where applicable
Salary
You’ll receive a bank hourly rate of £23.14 per hour

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
- Work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison service’s needs.
- Deliver the highest standard of care to clients in line with National Guidelines.

Requirements
- NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
- Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
