General Operative – North Derby
Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent | Monday to Friday | Site Based
SF Partners are supporting a loyal client who are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join a busy manufacturing team based in Heanor.
This is a full-time, site-based opportunity starting on a temporary basis, with a view to becoming permanent for the right person.
The role will support day-to-day production operations, helping to ensure stock and materials are managed effectively and the working environment remains clean, organised and safe.
Duties will include:
- Receiving and dispatching goods
- Moving, handling and organising stock and materials
- Maintaining an orderly stock management process throughout the facility
- General housekeeping and keeping internal and external work areas clean and tidy
- Assisting with the correct disposal of waste
- Supporting general production and operative duties as required
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience within a general operative, warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience operating forklift trucks or Overhead Cranes, valid certificates required
- Physically fit and comfortable working within a hands-on role
- Reliable, organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A positive attitude towards health and safety
- Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, would be advantageous
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm£12.71 – £13 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
