Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who is seeking an Inpatient Senior Nurse role within the Forensic Inpatient Service based at Guild Lodge.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the inpatient hospital model, providing leadership to professional and direct care staff.
  • Provide a visible, accessible and authoritative presence on wards, to whom patients and staff can turn for assistance, advice and support.
  • Cover night shifts predominantly with expectations to rotate onto days when required, ensuring 24-hour clinical leadership and expertise cover.
  • Maintain clinical competence and keep up to date with current practice, ensuring others perform at a high standard.
  • Drive improvement of clinical and professional standards within the forensic inpatient service.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should be clinically up to date, hold a current nursing registration and possess the leadership and clinical skills required to oversee a forensic inpatient unit. Previous forensic or inpatient nursing experience is desirable.
