Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Educator apprentice to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role involves supporting the development and well-being of young children within a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with qualified staff to deliver high-quality care and educational activities, fostering a safe and stimulating space for children to learn and grow. Duties
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging educational activities tailored to children’s developmental needs
- Support children’s daily routines, including mealtimes, naps, and playtime
- Supervise children both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety at all times
- Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among children
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues to monitor children’s progress and share observations
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s activities and well-being
- Support the management team in implementing nursery policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance childcare skills and knowledge
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Demonstrated management or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team activities
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
