Waking Night Residential Care Worker

Can you make a difference while others sleep? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Care Worker to join our team supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs in an Ofsted-registered children’s home. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in keeping young people safe, supported, and cared for throughout the night.

Hours Of Work

40 hour contract per week. Monday – Sunday 4 on 4 off. 10pm – 8am. Working 4 nights on and 4 nights off. Arrangement with the registered manager.

Your Role

• Stay awake overnight to ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people
• Provide support if they are distressed or unwell
• Help maintain a calm, safe, clean and homely environment
• Complete accurate records and handovers
• Support morning routines to prepare young people for the day

About You

• Passionate about working with young people
• Calm, resilient and able to manage challenging situations
• A strong team player with good communication skills
• Committed to safeguarding and providing high‑quality care
• Holds a full UK driving licence
