Children’s Residential Support Worker

£28,392 – £33,025 per annum

3 x 14‑hour shifts per week (7:45am – 10:00pm)

Are you passionate about making a real and lasting difference in the lives of children and young people? We’re looking for a dedicated and resilient Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our caring and committed team at a children’s residential home in Maylandsea, Essex.

About the role

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll be an essential part of a supportive and structured environment, helping young people feel safe, valued, and empowered. You’ll be there through daily routines, challenging moments, and everything in between – always leading with care, consistency, and compassion.

Rota

3 x 14‑hour shifts per week, shift time 7:45am – 10:00pm. Stable and consistent rota pattern for a great work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building positive relationships and acting as a trusted adult for young people
  • Supporting children with daily routines, activities, and emotional wellbeing
  • Promoting independence, life skills, and positive behaviour
  • Recording accurate logs, reports, and contributing to care planning
  • Collaborating with your team and professionals to ensure high‑quality care

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working with children or young people (residential experience desirable)
  • Compassionate, reliable, and confident in challenging situations
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
