Site Manager (Mechanical, Chemical or Production Backgrounds)

Location: Peterborough

Salary: 40,000 per annum + overtime

Start Date: June 2026

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm, Friday 7:30am – 12:00pm (39 hours per week)

We are recruiting for a Site Manager to oversee on‑site fluid management operations at a customer facility in Peterborough. This is a hands‑on position suited to someone with experience within a mechanical, chemical, manufacturing or production environment. The successful candidate will lead a team of 3‑4 people, manage day‑to‑day fluid management activities, and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing all fluid management service activities on site
• Supervising and allocating work to the on‑site team
• Applying and changing lubricants and fluids in line with planned maintenance schedules
• Carrying out coolant and wash cleanouts
• Monitoring fluid conditions and plant equipment performance using the company’s in‑house reporting system
• Managing fluid waste streams and ensuring safe disposal processes are followed
• Liaising with the customer and attending operational meetings
• Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures, site practices and 5S standards are following

Requirements

• Experience working within a mechanical, chemical, manufacturing or production environment
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be beneficial
• Hands‑on approach with the ability to work independently
• Flexible and adaptable attitude
• Strong organisational and communication skills
