The M+E Maintenance Engineer Opportunity
This position will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operational reliability across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring plant equipment, systems, and machinery are maintained to a high operational and compliance standard.

Key Responsibilities
The successful M+E Maintenance engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned preventive maintenance as well as responding to reactive breakdowns across the facility.
The role will involve diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults safely and efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting production continuity.
Assist with installation works and modifications to plant equipment, ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with site safety procedures and compliance standards.
Work with site electrical and control systems, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining accurate maintenance records using internal systems and software.
Regularly liaise with production teams, supervisors, and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure work is completed effectively and safely.
Requirements
Hold a recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical maintenance engineering, with previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy engineering environment.
Strong fault‑finding abilities across mechanical and electrical systems, with exposure to PLCs, plant controls, and automated systems considered highly advantageous.
Self‑motivated, safety conscious, able to work independently or as part of a wider engineering team.
Strong communication skills and basic computer literacy.
