Lead Telecoms Engineer
Summary
Seeking expressions of interest for a potential upcoming project with starts expected towards the end of June. This role will oversee telecom system design delivery for an onshore oil & gas facility, ensuring compliance and integration with other disciplines.
Location and Working Pattern
Woking, UK – Office-based
Responsibilities
- Lead telecom system design including fibre‑optic, wireless, and voice communication systems
- Prepare technical specifications and interface documents
- Review vendor submissions and drawings for compliance
- Support system integration and testing requirements
- Lead design reviews ensuring timely delivery and issue resolution
- Oversee documentation and liaise with other engineering disciplines
Must‑have Requirements
- Demonstrable telecom systems experience for major oil & gas facilities
- Knowledge of IP networking, fibre‑optics, and communications protocols
- Familiarity with FEED and detailed design deliverables for telecom scope
Nice‑to‑have Skills
- Experience delivering projects to Aramco standards (SAES) highly desirable
- Competence in software relevant to telecom network design
