Site Maintenance Engineer

Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on Site Maintenance Engineer to join a growing team responsible for maintaining and improving large-scale critical infrastructure within Data Centres. This is a varied role where you’ll be working on plant equipment in commercial environments, carrying out maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and helping improve system performance and reliability.

£58,000 – £62,000 Basic + Company Benefits

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems and critical data centre infrastructure, including UPS systems, switchgear, PDUs, generators, and associated electrical distribution equipment
• Diagnosing electrical faults and completing repairs across critical power and infrastructure systems
• Responding to breakdowns and ensuring rapid restoration of services to minimise downtime
• Supporting minor projects, electrical upgrades, and infrastructure improvements within the data centre
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, following site procedures, industry standards, and compliance requirements
• Maintaining accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and reporting in line with site processes
• Participating in an on-call rota to support 24/7 critical operations

Qualifications

• Experience working in critical infrastructure – data centres, etc.
• Strong understanding of electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repair on critical plant and power systems
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical discipline
