Bank Speciality Doctor – AMU ED

About the role
One‑day bank work across all specialties (single shift or extended post). Shifts include evenings, weekends and on‑call as available. No guaranteed hours – “as and when” basis.
Main duties
- Collaborate with nurses, clinicians, patients and relatives to support safe care
- Participate in board rounds, ward rounds and other daily activities
- Provide appropriate workplace supervision to other staff when requested
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and documentation
- Arrive on time for booked shift and be available from the arranged start time
- Attend local induction when working in new areas
- Comply with Trust policies and uphold Trust values and behaviours
- Perform any other duties commensurate with the post/grade as advised by the speciality clinical lead
Designated Body
Bank doctors must have a designated body on the GMC for employment on the Mid and South Essex NHS bank. If already registered with an agency they remain that designated body.
