Responsibilities
The role involves delegated clinical procedures including removal of cannula, physiological observations, escorting patients from clinical areas, providing personal care and accurately documenting all interventions. You will also be responsible for booking hospital transport to take patients home.
Successful applicants will complete an induction course covering all Trust statutory and mandatory training, and will be invited to share knowledge and experience with the ward. The role requires being well-motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and professional development.
Applicants must be able to work as part of a team, use their own initiative, possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, and contribute fully as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C (or 4) or equivalent functional skills.
- Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 level 2 in health and social care or equivalent qualification.
- Hospital experience desirable but not essential.
